I guess I need an attorney.
What a waste. I’m vacationing in the Savannah area (trying to escape hurricane Florence) and tooling around sight-seeing when I spy in my rearview mirror a cop moving up on me. He was pressing me and snuggled up to me at the intersection and my wife reminded me to stop completely, which I obliged...albeit briefly.
I ask wife if he’ll turn right or left. She says left so I go right. He follows and promptly lights me up. I turn at the next street and stop and he says I didn’t stop for the sign. I said “really?” Anyway, he cites me and now I have to figure out the best way to deal with this….I’m from NC. Are there any folks familiar with the “Thunderbolt” area traffic infraction situation. Anyone that can advise me how I might best proceed? He was simply making his quota at my expense. I’m a 64 year old man, not out raising hell like in my younger days.
I’ve spoken with a lawyer in the area and it's looking like four hundred for the fee with no interest in pleading not-guilty.
